About Us

Student Lending Works^SM is the State of Ohio's designated nonprofit student loan lender. Our mission is to lower the cost of education for Ohio students and their families. The surplus from our lending activities is reinvested in education. To date, our parent organization, KnowledgeWorks Foundation, and its partners have invested more than $100-million to improve college access and educational opportunities.

As a result of recent legislative changes to the student lending industry we are no longer accepting student loan applications. However, we remain committed to helping Ohioans achieve their college education goals. We are in the process of exploring the opportunity to service loans for the Direct Loan Program as provided under the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010 and hope to continue providing personalized customer service to Ohio students and families in the future.
