Student Lending Works Kicks Off Ohio-Wide High School Lending Education Program
COLUMBUS, OH —Student Lending Works, the designated nonprofit provider of student loan products for the State of Ohio, has launched its High School Lending and Education Program geared at high school seniors in Ohio. To kick-off the launch, Student Lending Works is offering four scholarships to high school seniors from Ohio, each worth $1,500. All high school seniors from Ohio who will attend college within two years of graduation are eligible to register for the scholarship sweepstakes.
Throughout the campaign, Student Lending Works will host in school events and financial workshops geared towards educating students, parents and guidance counselors about what options are available when paying for college, how to manage debt and consolidate student loans, and the importance of why they should begin managing their debt now instead of later.
“We think this is a great opportunity for students and parents from Ohio to learn about their options to pay for college,” said Jeff Wallace, Student Lending Works Director of Marketing and Operations. “Whether you choose us as a lender, someone else or not at all, we are here to help students and parents figure it all out.”
The winners will be announced during the Ohio Association for College Admissions Counseling Conference in April.
