College Goal Sunday Supported By Student Lending Works

CINCINNATI – On Sunday, February 11th, the Ohio Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators’ (OASFAA) is hosting College Goal Sunday, a state-wide college financial aid event. This free event is an opportunity for students and families who have questions or need assistance in filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form to get one-on-one professional help from financial aid experts. The Customer Service staff at Student Lending Works will volunteer to assist with this program, which is being held at 35 sites throughout Ohio.

"The FAFSA is key to funding a college education and helping families overcome financial barriers that typically prevent students from attending college," says Greg Guzman, Co-Chair of the state-wide College Goal Sunday event. "This is something that Student Lending Works wanted to be a part of," said Sandy Baker-Evans, Student Lending Works (SLW) School and Client Relations Manager. "This event is critically important to students and parents, and everyone should take advantage of this opportunity. We are excited and pleased to be a part of this event."

This year, SLW staff will focus their efforts at three Ohio sites: UC Raymond Walters Campus, 9555 Plainfield Road, Cincinnati; Cincinnati Youth Collaborative College Resource Center at Jordan Crossing, 7030 Reading Road, Cincinnati; and Miami University Hamilton Campus, 1601 University Blvd., Hamilton.

College Goal Sunday is free of charge, and begins at 2 p.m. at every location. To learn more about the OASFAA College Goal Sunday or to find a location near you, visit http://www.ohiocollegegoalsunday.org/
