Student Lending Works Kicks Off Ohio-Wide On-Campus Lending And Education Program

CINCINNATI - Student Lending Works, the designated nonprofit provider of student loan products for the State of Ohio, launches its Lending and Education Program Monday, February 27. The campaign is designed to educate parents and college students in the state of Ohio about how to manage education debt. Representatives from Student Lending Works will be on select campuses across Ohio beginning in late February.

Throughout the campaign, Student Lending Works will host on-campus events and financial seminars geared towards educating students, parents and faculty about how to manage debt and consolidate student loans, and the importance of why they should begin managing their debt now instead of later.

Student Lending Works is a nonprofit resource created in collaboration with the State of Ohio. Its mission is to provide Ohio students and their families with low-cost Federal Education loans. The surplus generated from Student Lending Works' loans will be used to further support initiatives to better Ohio's education system and students. To date, through its parent foundation, over $100 million has been invested in education initiatives.

"We think this is a great opportunity for students and parents with school loans to learn how they can stay ahead of their education debt and start working now toward a sound financial future," said Jeff Wallace, Student Lending Works Director of Marketing and Operations. "Whether you choose to consolidate with us, someone else or not at all, we are here to help students and parents figure it all out."
