Student Lending Works launches Graduate Survival GuideTM

Free copies to be provided to graduating college students starting in May.

CINCINNATI, OH –Students and recent grads won’t have to feel so lost transitioning from college life to real life thanks to a new partnership between Student Lending Works and a helpful new book--the Graduate Survival Guide™.

It all started as an effort by Student Lending Works (SLW) to find a great resource for students and graduates and ended with a collaboration between SLW and Michael Bergman, the creator of the Graduate Survival Guide. “We found a lot of value in the book for college graduates,” said Elaine Su, Marketing Manager for Student Lending Works. “And, we felt we could add even more value with information about how to deal with student debt after college.“

The Graduate Survival Guide turned out to be a true collaborative effort between professionals (such as financial advisors, attorneys and bankers), professors and actual graduates. “All the things that are important to know when you graduate are in this book,” said Jeff Wallace, Director of Operations and Marketing for Student Lending Works.

Students and recent grads will find tips for everything from entertaining, finding an apartment and stocking their kitchens and bars, to finding a lawyer, doing their taxes and managing their student loan debt, a mounting concern for many graduates.

Available on Amazon.com for $14.95, students can save this cost by requesting a free copy or by picking one up on select college campuses throughout Ohio, where SLW will be distributing copies of the Guide.

At the end of April, the book will also be available on the newly launched www.GradSurvival.com. The website will include many interesting features, such as book excerpts, and a message board where students and recent grads can ask important questions and get feedback and tips. The website hopes to create a community where recent grads can share their goals, ideas and post-college experiences.
