Student Lending Works Launches Today
WEST CHESTER, OH - Combating recent interest rate increases, nonprofit Student Lending Works brings choice and cost savings to student loan holders, and gives back to education.
In February, the State of Ohio designated Student Lending Works as the Ohio nonprofit agency to serve as an eligible lender of Federal student loans. Student Lending Works launches its website today. The website launch also marks Student Lending Works’ official introduction as a student loan consolidation lender.
In addition to providing college loan programs, Student Lending Works will serve other charitable purposes, as all surplus funds generated from its activities will be invested back into education programs. Through the parent organization, KnowledgeWorks Foundation, these funds will support educational improvement initiatives to increase the number and diversity of people who value and access education. Student Lending Works’ new suite of products and services consists of several variations of the Federal Consolidation Loan, including parent loan (PLUS) consolidations.
Student Lending Works’ website educates borrowers on the reasons for consolidating loans, its three primary borrower benefit programs, common misconceptions about loan consolidation, application information, and how the education system benefits from loans processed through Student Lending Works programs.
Student Lending Works is committed to providing valuable, timely and accurate information and resources to assist borrowers in making well-founded student loan finance decisions. With Student Lending Works, borrowers now have access to low-cost funds, which translates into:
• Choice of benefits/discounts based on individual needs, such as an immediate up to 6% principal reduction or an up to 1.5% interest rate reduction after 36 on-time payments.
• Flexible repayment options and terms.
To qualify for loan consolidation benefits through Student Lending Works, loan borrowers must have at least $10,000 in Federal education loans and must not have any education loans in default.
