Work-Study Programs

Work-Study Programs are federal employment programs that provide jobs to undergraduate, graduate and professional students in need of money to help cover their college expenses.

Your total Work-Study award may depend on the following criteria:

  • Your financial need
  • The school’s funding level
  • The type of work you do
  • The skills you bring to the position

What types of Work-Study Programs are available?
Work-Study Programs are available on campus (usually employed by the college) and off campus (usually employed by a private nonprofit organization or public agency).  When placing you in a certain program, the college typically tries to match your skill level and field of study.

How do I apply?
By completing the FAFSA, you will find out if you are eligible for Work-Study.
